We are reaching out to find a happy couple (or awesome individual) that would love to get away to somewhere really special for a while – for a few months or more – to help us with our new organic food project. Update August 2014 is that Lagoa Paraiso near the house, has just been voted by the Huffington Post as the 4th most beautiful beach in the world. How about that!
You would live in a new, beautiful, simple, spacious one bedroom open plan house on 3 hectares of land – and help develop a small organic farm, and assist in organising the next steps of a small community-minded project. There is local support on the ground, and from us remotely. At least a little Portuguese would be an advantage, on top of your authenticity, commitment, and compassionate values.
We have now planted more than 30 varieties of food producing plants, and so by committing to tasks and milestones, you can reduce the relatively very affordable cost of living and of the home, whilst living very well in a happy and very healthy natural environment.
It really is a pretty awesome and unique adventure and opportunity for the right person or people.

‘Jeri’ and the surrounding area is one of the most beautiful, natural and relaxed places in the world.
Nearest Airport : Fortaleza at 220 Kilometres – regular buses to very nearby in about 5 hours. Great value new charter flights from mainland Europe direct to Fortaleza.
Car: not necessary, though 4WD’s, sand buggies or motorbikes are useful and exhilarating – or there are plenty of local transport options.
The House: Set amongst a lovely local community, on a private block, the house has one large upstairs bedroom leading to large private balcony in the breeze. Downstairs are a Queen and Single size bed/sofa, in the open plan lounge room. Also plenty of hammock space and hooks around the property and with large verandas on three sides. The house has an all white interior, clean and simple, with a big functional kitchen, ample white cement bench space and plenty of room to relax and enjoy. No chemicals and an ecological toilet. New locally made furniture and fittings in a simple yet modern space. We are a short walk from beautiful freshwater lagoons, off the beaten track, in a sunny, breezy and peaceful environment.
Here you can lie in the breeze in a hammock, on the balcony with wireless internet – work remotely, write a book, make music, have some down-time, study, relax, refresh, detox, cook, swim, sail, fish, visit local markets… and get amongst the plants and our friends to help organise a cool community minded project.
You could also, for example, rent a sand buggy and go exploring or kite-surfing, wind-surfing or wandering to Lagoa Azul and many other interesting local sites.
A focus on fresh organic food – including coconuts, mangoes, cashews and a variety of vegetables, fruits and herbs. Now with astonishingly good home delivered Italian style pizzas and foccacia. Beautiful filtered water from our own well. Cashew fruit wine. It’s nature, food and detox heaven.
Ideal for good people who appreciate and respect simplicity, sustainability and a local community. Away from the crowds and tourists, and into nature.
This is a living breathing ecosystem, so there’s some small local wildlife features that are really cool, too.
